What is Type 200 Threadlok Compound?
Type 200 Threadlok Compound is a superior strength thread compound with “Micro-Lok”, formulated for the locking of casing threads. This compound is used for locking the float equipment and casing joints on the bottom of the casing to prevent unscrewing of the threads during drill-out operations. This two-part compound provides superior strength and works in adverse temperature conditions. Used in both on-shore and off-shore drilling applications. This is the most powerful and reliable thread-locking adhesive around. Hundreds of thousands of kits have sold in over 97 countries on 6 continents, available for private label, distributorships, jobbers, private riggers, etc. in North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Other products soon to be commercialized : Anaerobic Adhesives, High Performance Engineering Adhesives, such as : Retaining Compounds, Threadlockers, Gasketing Compounds, Thread Sealants, Pre-Applied Threadlockers, Pipe Sealant.
How to use your Threadlok kit?
* Best performance is achieved when mixing and curing occurs at temperatures between 60F / 6C and 70F / 21C
* Normal pot life is 30-45 minutes, and is temperature sensitive
1) Prepare the thread surface by thoroughly cleaning and descaling. Use chlorinated-hydrocarbon-based solvent to remove foreign matter from threads and then wipe dry.
2) Shake contents of Part B Hardener (plastic bottle) and add to Part A Resin Paste (metal can) and stir well with mixing stick.
3) Apply an even coat to the dry thread surfaces and immediatedly proceed to make up threads to A.P.I specifications.
4) Dispose of unused product according to local standards.
